Annual Dues $12

(Due by April meeting.)

Greetings!

Happy New Year! Yes another year! If your resolutions were to try and attend more bee meetings and learn as much as you can about your bees and why they do what they do…It's a good time to start!

We have a great agenda lined up for this up coming year and we need your input this month on when and where we should put the programs! We have around 5 speakers we are trying to line up for this year, plus our annual pancake supper and picnic. Some of the topics that have been suggested are; Small Hive Beetles, Diseases; and treatment options. Over wintering tech-niques for this area and comb honey techniques to name a few. Please bring any other topic ideas that you may want to hear about.

We have access to  various  power point programs from OSBA also! These will be used for meeting topics too.

SRVBEEKEEPING.COM!!

Keep checking out our website, because it is getting a face lift- section by section! We have a counter on the page that lets us know how many hits we are getting and there are quite a few!! We need pictures, recipes or anything you might want to get rid of you can post it on our website! John, our president, has started revising it already! We will have the newsletters on it and other valuable news to share.

The Tri-County Bee Assoc. Will be having their 30th Spring Beekeeping Workshop on Feb. 29th and March 1, 2008. For more information, we will have it at the meeting or call one of the officers.

 http://beelab.osu.edu/news/

is the website you can look up for more info also. These meetings have great classes and you always pick up new ideas and find out about products let alone see vendors with all their goods! Well worth the trip to Wooster.

Our February meeting will be on antique Beekeeping equipment and some obsolete items that no longer are used. Most of these items have come from a "Firelands Apiaries Bee Assoc." which no longer exist. This Apiary is also having an Auction in Fremont at the fair grounds on Feb. 9th.

This is a reminder!  If you have anything you want posted to sell or buy in this news letter please contact Sue at 419-483-7496 no later than 2 weeks before our meetings.
