WE HAVN’T EVEN HAD A MEETING THIS YEAR, AND BOY HAS IT BEEN FOREVER (IT SEEMS) SINCE WE’VE HAD A GOOD BUZZZING SESSION!! WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START OUT THE YEAR – WITH DANA STAHLMAN! IT’S A “NEW NOSEMA DISEASE” ANOTHER HURDLE THE POOR LITTLE CREATURES HAVE TO ENDURE! NOT MENTIONING THE BEEKEEPER’S HURDLES!! BE SURE TO COME AND FIND OUT THE LATEST ON THIS REPORT! Beekeepers' Meeting …STARTS AT 8:00 A.M. FOR THE WHOLE DAY!!
This annual event is the largest gathering of beekeepers in the US. It's a great
chance to come out and learn about beekeeping. The KeyNote Speaker will be Dr.
Jamie Ellis from the University of Florida. Dr Ellis is a leading expert on
Small Hive Beetles. There are workshops and sessions on a range of bee-related
topics, a baked-goods and a mead contest and vendors galore.
