MONDAY
(Our
September meeting)
7:00 p.m.
This meeting will
be about "Honey Safety". Just in time!
Some have been
taking off right along, but some of us wait and do it all at once. This is a
matter of preference and the need for your honey!
While your in your hives, now is the time
to check things out and make sure they don't need some attention before winter,
such as diseases, mites, reducing the entrance to keep the mice out. Prepare to
have some kind of wind break, like trees, bushes or a building, for the winter.
You will have to leave enough honey on for their food too! If you were to our
last meeting the program was on "Fall and Winter Management" and
probably know what to do!...If you missed it you can always come to this
meeting and ask a fellow beekeeper….
Trivia Question:

come half a day this also helps! It's fun, besides spreading the "word"
