ANNUAL PANCAKE SUPPER

March 1, 2010

6:00 p.m.

At GzBz Honey Farm

It's time for some comfort food! Hope you all can make it to the Pancake pot luck. Bring a covered dish and chair; the pancakes, Maple syrup, & sausage, will be furnished along with coffee and juice.

Our first meeting of the year had a good turn out! Our new president Rich Brutsche introduced himself and had all who attended introduce their selves also…in turning out to be a fun fact filled evening!

All our members are concerned about the growing need of new beekeepers. One of our purposes of the club is to introduce beekeeping to the public along with educating them on the importance of bees. Suggestions were made on contacting schools, FFA's, 4H clubs and the news media.

The club will be getting hats & t-shirts made with a club logo.

It's up the members to design this logo…so bring your ideas and the winner will get the first hat!

This next meeting will be on "Dead Outs" so you are to bring in your ugliest dead out so it can be analyzed, to what caused it. Now, due to the winter that doesn't seem to want to stop…Take warning!

Don't disturb the bees if it's too cold! Good way to get more dead outs!

John Schick has announced the 3# pkg. bees will cost $75 this year. If interested call John at

The Trivia Question for this month is: What do the initials of L.L. Langstroth stand for? He is the inventor of the hives that are still used today. He is considered the "Father of Beekeeping". Bring your correct answer for a chance of a prize!

Dues for 2010 are due. They are still $12.00 for a whole family. Great deal!
