IT'S NOVEMBER ALREADY! THE YEAR IS WINDING DOWN
ALONG WITH ALL THE ELECTION COVERAGE!! IF YOU DIDN'T GET ANYTHING ELSE OUT OF
ALL THE ADS, GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!
NOVEMBER
IS ALSO THE MONTH THE CLUB NOMINATESS IT’S NEW OFFICERS. PLEASE…DON’T LET THIS KEEP YOU AWAY….WE REALLY NEED
TO HAVE PEOPLE STEP UP TO THE HIVE…!!! DON’T RELY ON THE SAME WORKER BEES TO DO
THE JOBS OVER AND OVER EACH YEAR. IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU COULD HELP…BUT DON’T
WANT THE FULL TERM… MAYBE WE COULD EVEN HAVE TWO FOR ONE OFFICE AND TAKE TURNS
THROUGH OUT THE YEAR. THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT OF MINE… WE DON’T WANT THE CLUB
SWARMING, JUST BECAUSE WE CAN’T GET PEOPLE MORE INVOLVED. WE ALSO HAVE A
COMMITTEE THAT HELPS ORAGANIZE ALL THE PROGRAMS. IT’S ONLY ONE DAY A MONTH, BUT
LOOK AT ALL THE INFORMATION YOU’VE PICKED UP BY JUST TALKING TO ANOTHER
BEEKEEPER! LET ALONE THE SPEAKERS WE GET!! THIS ISN’T TO EVEN MENTION THE NEW
FRIENDSHIPS THAT DEVELOP! ....ENOUGH POLITICS….

50-DEGREE DAY AND GET OUT THERE AND WINTERIZE THE POOR BABIES! MAKE SURE THEY
HAVE ENOUGH HONEY LEFT ON, OR YOU WILL BE BACK EARLY IN THE YEAR FEEDING THEM!

DIDN'T BORE YOU ALL TOO MUCH, BUT MY FIRST PASSION IS GROWING HERBS AND THEIR
DIFFERENT USES. YOU CAN INCORPRATE THE TWO HOBBIES AND COME UP WITH SOME PRETTY
INTERESTING GIFTS FOR GIVING. IF YOUR INTO "HOMEMADE" GIFTS NOW IS
THE TIME TO BE THINKING OF ALL THE WAYS TO USE THOSE NATURAL RESOURCES YOU HAVE AROUND YOU!

Cinnamon Honey Buns

Ingredients
1⁄4 cup butter or margarine, softened and
divided
1⁄2 cup Dutch Gold Golden honey, divided
1⁄4 cup chopped toasted nuts
2 tsps ground cinnamon
1 loaf (1 lb.) frozen bread dough, thawed according to package directions
2/3 cup raisins
Directions:
Grease
12 muffin cups with 1 tbsp. butter. To prepare honey-nut topping, mix together
1 tbsp. butter, 1⁄4 cup honey and chopped nuts. Place 1 tsp. topping in
each muffin cop. To prepare filling, mix together remaining 2 tablespoons
butter, remaining 1⁄4 cup honey and cinnamon. Roll out bread dough onto
floured surface into 18x8-inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly over dough.
Sprinkle evenly with raisins. Starting with long side, roll dough into log. Cut
log into 12 (1-1/2-inch) slices. Place 1 slice, cut side up, into each prepared
muffin cup. Set muffin pan in warm place; let dough rise 30 minutes. Place
muffin pan on foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for 20
minutes or until buns are golden brown. Remove from oven; cool in pan 5
minutes. Invert muffin pan to remove buns.
