Only when the  leaves fell did this beekeeper notice the comb.  Since he had access to a bucket truck he could get to the swarm way up in the tree.

 

 

 

The comb was as long as two hive bodies though it does not appear that long in the top photo.  The bees were in between the combs and were still active therefore the beekeeper wore his protection.  It was a cloudy, cold day in October when this swarm of bees was moved to more permanent and protected home for the winter.
